ON A LONELY stretch of Suffolk highway, it almost always smells like 8 a.m.
The aroma rises from Massimo Zanetti Beverage USA, hidden beyond the tree line along the U.S. 58 bypass, a massive plant that roasts and packages millions of pounds of coffee each month – think Chase & Sanborn, Hills Bros., Kauai Coffee and Chock full o’ Nuts.
On Monday night, the latter brand catapults beyond the tree line and onto “The Celebrity Apprentice” and becomes, at least for a time, the obsession of the likes of Donald Trump, Geraldo Rivera and two-time World Series baseball star Johnny Damon.
