Our story is intertwined with that of the Zanetti family. It is a simple story; one retold by many old families in the world of coffee. Mr. Massimo Zanetti’s grandfather sold coffee. So did his father. So does he. The difference is that his grandfather and father were in the business of green coffee. Mr. Massimo Zanetti was the first in the family to produce and sell roasted coffee. That was 35 years ago. At that time, the company was selling about a ton of roasted coffee a year.

Today, our Bologna, Italy-based Company offers a wide array of premium coffee, selling 120,000 tons of coffee annually. Our operations include a coffee plantation and green coffee processing plant in Brazil, a coffee mill in Costa Rica, a green coffee export company in both markets, and a green coffee trading company in Switzerland. We run 9 roasting plants throughout the world, boast a worldwide distribution network of subsidiaries and authorized dealers in 100 countries, produce professional bar equipment and espresso machines under the La San Marco name, and have a network of over 600 international coffee shops. Massimo Zanetti now serves over 70,000 customers in all continents and has an annual turnover of $800 million. A far cry from our modest beginnings. With our old world traditions and values still in place, Massimo Zanetti continues to operate at the highest standard.
